Birth of Seva

While driving to my workshop daily in Greater Noida, I often stopped by at the underdeveloped villages/areas where children as young as 1 year old used to run towards my car for a small pack of ParleG. It was a habit that my mother inculcated in me ever since I started driving – to carry packs of biscuits for anyone who might need them on the road. Bablu, a 4-year-old, was one boy who waited daily around 9.45am for my car to turn towards his house lane. A happy, smiling boy who just repeated the same sentence to me every day “Kal kya laoge bhaiyya, kuch acha sa lana please”

Bablu’s minimal expectation from life always left me with a lingering guilt.

My team had many times done the annual exercise of feeding underprivileged children near my office and home on festivals and celebratory occasions.

But I knew that was not enough.

There was a vacuum of a transparent platform between contributors and the disadvantaged children of our country. Not your usual donation box drives. But simply giving a stomach full meal to a child. Ensuring that nutritious healthy food reaches the rightful end user.

SEVA was born out of this idea.

SEVA by Azimuth brings you a great opportunity of doing service to our nation which continues to battle hunger.
